Day with the kids!!

This morning was pirate day for VBS, and the kids were soooo excited!! Avery took this picture of us when we were ready to go...

Lots of fun, Emma stayed with us this time and she really enjoyed the songs! Avery was so proud that she knew some of her memory verses, she's been reciting them all day!!

This evening, we took the kids out fishing. I'd prepped them for coming home empty handed-again... but.... look at this!! (Don't mind my expression, we were laughing at the fact that once again, all of the kids were saying 'cheese' and not smiling or looking at the camera!, and my mom and dad thought it was hilarious that 25 years after catching my first fish, I still didn't want to hold one!!)

They did so well!! Even I caught my first fish of the year (although believe me, it's nothing to brag about). lol.

Of course there had to be some drama! Gabe caught a whitefish and when we told him we were gonna throw it back, boy was there ever waterworks. I thought this was sooo funny, considering the ballcap he was wearing!!

So.. of course, we kept the fish!! What's a mom to do?


Anyway, we enjoyed a hot cocoa with Mom and Dad, and the kids showed off their fish. now I'm exhausted!! But in a good way. God Bless all!! Good nite!!
