Took the kids camping last weekend, with Mom and Dad, and Ed and Manny. You can watch the slideshow below to see a glimpse. It was a great time. The kids spent hours fort building in the bush, and playing in the puddles, as the lake was really high and made some new knee-deep 'ponds'. Sadly we had crazy neighbors who didn't believe in turning off the music, or sleeping at night. The second night a bunch of drunks came out and played 'O Canada' on their bongo drums all night. (We wouldn't have known it was O Canada without the loud off-key singing, though!) Anyway, the kids slept through it all, but in the two nights, I got about 4.5 hours of sleep combined!! Ugh. The days were pretty, and sunny and wonderful, and it was a great weekend! Seth didn't nap almost at all in the tent, but he loved the playpen and played in it, or in the stroller for almost the whole two days, quite happily!!
On Monday, Manny and I took Junior and Gabe out to see the spawning fish. You can see the facebook album if you click HERE.
It was a great time, too!! Just as we thought, Gabe was in his glory, and the two boys got along so well together that Manny and I had fun together too!! We had some great laughs, and it was really relaxing and refreshing!! And buggy!! LoL, thank the Good Lord for bug spray!!
On Tuesday night, my friend Chrisie and her daughter Julie arrived on the Greyhound for a couple of days. Julie and Ave are 10 days apart and had a blast together. Julie even went to school with Ave yesterday!! We went to the pool and did lots of visiting, and a little shopping. It was nice for me to have 'after bedtime' company!! ;) usually I just clean after the kids go to bed, so it was great to sit and relax with a friend!! We streaked her hair, and here is a picture from an impromptu photo shoot. Isn't she beautiful? Anyway, Last night, the rest of the family came up, and they all left early this morning.
So it has been busy, but full of great things!! Now we have Dawn's dog for the weekend, I am in Sunday School on Sunday, and we MAY attempt garage sales this weekend. We'll see!!
