Most Perfect Day

I've been blessed to have had a lot of perfect days in my life. Usually I write a quick note on looseleaf paper, sometimes I take a short video to share my thoughts. Today I'm going to blog it.

Yesterday was one of those most perfect days, for absolutely no reason at all.

My husband kissed me in the wee hours before he went to work.
My house was tidy when I got up.
The sun shone so brightly that the snow was melting, and we had the back door wide open for the early afternoon.
I held hands with my kids, cuddled them, squeezed their cheeks and smooched them on the lips.
I told them that I loved them, and they heard me and smiled.
I played the guitar and wrote a song.
My sister in law and nephews came over for an 'in-person' visit, which was long overdue.
I heard the voice of two of my most amazing friends when they called with prayer requests for their family members.
I drank coffee with honey for the first time.
I got caught up on laundry.
I watched a movie that made me cry.
My husband arrived safely home from work.
I made a dinner that everyone ate and enjoyed.
I was reminded of something sad in my past, but realized that I'm okay.
I had a good friend stop by to support my girls in their dreams.
I prayed with a group of women that never ceases to inspire me.
I heard words from God, that encouraged and blessed.
I went for a walk with a friend.

I'm sure there's more. Specific moments, specific words. But there it is nonetheless. A perfect day. (and can you imagine, we had no internet for most of it! Lol!!)

My wish for each of you is that you would have a perfect day, and that when you do, you would recognize it for what it is.

Count your blessings as often as you can, and reread them on the days when you're losing hope.
