Am I ever glad we got the flu shot!! Gabe was home from school today with a low grade fever, and general -all-over not feeling good. He wasn't REALLY sick, but definately sick enough to not go to school.
Last night I was glooming and whining to Ryan. Life is great, but I'm just bummed, just want to go cuddle up in bed a sleep. For days. I'm not PMSing, but it seems like that. I am just tired, and need a pick me up. Finally I surprised him by saying "I hope I'm getting sick", which really would just explain my less-than-blessed-non-optimistic, and super tired, lazy mood!!
Then today, Manny was telling me that the school sent home a paper explaining about the flu that is going around. We've had a 20 percent absentee rate at the school! People have sick tummies, fever, body aches and pains, etc. The usual flu stuff. BUT it went on to say that if you got the flu shot, you will get much milder symptoms!! A HA!!! It all makes sense. I have the flu, and so does Gabe, but we just didn't get the whole she-bang, due to that flu shot we got. Instead we are well enough to think we are okay!! Lol!! I pitty the sucker that didn't get that needle, that's all I have to say!!
Anyway, all this to say that I am sick, and will be well again soon, God willing. I feel more optimistic already!!

Glad you only have the "mini flu version". I know people who have been dreadfully sick for two weeks. Ed & I are just getting over terrible throat infections. Oh, I just can't wait for spring!
Well, I'm not a vaccine person, teehee, not that you're new and need to be told that! We all have had the full blown, sick as a mangy dog, stay home for a week and hack for a month, flu. However, it still doesn't change my mind, lost productivity is not reason enough for me to pull up our sleeves.

Hope you are feeling better soonest, Glad you got the shot (sorry teri) so that you only feel a wee bit sick.
I'm feeling grumpy too and I don't have the flu. Glad you at least have a reason!
