Okay okay...

FRIEND

Okay, so I'm not in any of your good books right now, cause I haven't been blogging. Well, you'll just have to forgive me. I have way to many friends with way too many pressing needs to spend my time blogging. That sounds mean, doesn't it? Well, it shouldn't. It should sound heartbroken.

I am surrounded with people who are in various states of uncertainty and fear about their futures for many different reasons, and it sucks. I wish I could actually do something, but alas, at least I can be an ear, right? (Unless of course, you are Laura, and can never get to me cause I'm so darn busy all the time, sorry hon, my ear is missing you!!).

Ryan has been sent to Edmonton to have some visiting time with his family. We always go down as the six of us, and it is always CRAZY!! Visiting two Grandmas, Two sets of parents, cousins, siblings, nephews and nieces, Aunts and Uncles.... there is never enough time, and quite honestly we just don't get very 'quality' visits with the kids in our face (and they are really good, just THERE)!! Lol. (Those of you who have many children know what I mean). Anyway, he's been missing them all, and I wanted him to have some good relaxing time. He left on Wednesday and I think will be home Wednesday. (I hope so, anyway).

I have been keeping busy with the aforementioned friends as well as the four aforementioned children who are giving me a run for no money!! But they sure are cute!! We have been crafting, swimming, visiting, reading, drawing, and playing outside (until today when it got bloomin freezing out)!!!!

I have sorted out my filing cabinets (joy), and painted the ugly oak trim of my kitchen cabinets.

Yeah. So, I'm kinda tired.

Ryan is seriously considering a camp cooking job, and there is a possiblity of a month out at a time! UGH!!!! I don't know, but it would be nice to have some of that green stuff floating around here again. I guess we have to ask ourselves what it would be costing us.

Anyway, hugs to all of you. Most likely if you are reading this, you are dear to me, and I really love you. God bless, and keep you well, Char

P.S. I found a quote today that inspired me.

"We are like tea bags, we don't know how strong we are until we are in hot water."

Can't wait to have coffee!!

The quote rings true.
Good luck with the decision making, as you guys know, the cost isn't just the gas money to work...it's the lost family and relationship time that costs the most.
Thanks for being you and for having that open ear. You bless me.

Wow - I could pretty much "ditto" all the other quotes. I'd love to serve you a coffee. Terri is right, there is cost either way, but taking the job doesn't bind you guys forever either. As my very wise and logical father says, "Make the best decision you can with the information you have. Then move forward from there, even if you plan to change as you go forward."

And...I too want to see the kitchen makeover!

Missing you tons, and hoping to hear that some of these friends are pulling through.

God has given you that "ear" for others and you make Him smile faithfully by the way you use it!!! I'm so thankful for you and I know you make a difference in others! Keep at it! I pray for strenght and endurance for you as well as you care for so many others!!

With the job situation..it's true...it's hard right now!! But this too shall pass and I truly beleive this all is only for a season!!! :) We can keep each other afloat!!

Love ya!!
