Room Redo

Well, my Mom and Dad took both Gabe and Emma camping yesterday. It had started raining, and Ave and I were already bored to tears just minutes after they'd gone. What to do.. what to do...

I'd had plenty of 'downtime', being that I've been sick for over two weeks, and honestly, I'm sick of being sick. I don't want to read, or watch a movie, or lay until I have to!!

SOOOO how about a room makeover for Emma?

YAY!! She and Seth share a room, which has been a sacrifce mostly for her. Even choosing colors was difficult. She wanted lime green, he wanted red. Argh. Finally, we thought of chalkboard paint!!
It was decided this past week that Seth would choose the red for the wall, and the bottom would be black chalkboard paint. Emma thought she was going to have to wait, but since we were so bored....

Grandpa told us they'd be home in the afternoon or evening the next day, so we got busy.

And after less than twenty four hours, washing the walls, buying the paint, cleaning up the pigsty, taping, etc. etc. etc....

We have to let the black paint cure for three days before they can go crazy with the artwork. We can't wait!! We also surprised Emma with the new (inexpensive from Fields) comforter, which helped the room be a little more girly!!
