Funny Things

So.. lately Emma has been cracking us up with the funny things she says. I've decided to include a few for you today. I am not feeling tired today- can you believe it!! Could be because I went to bed at 8:30 last night!! I didn't get to sleep right away and I ended up with Ave and Gabe in my bed, but I still feel great!! Yay for me!! We went to celebrate Chinese New Years last week, and when it was time to go, Emma started freaking out, crying and saying "Ticky Tinah! Ticky Tinah!" Niether Dawn or I could figure out what she was saying. Finally Ryan figured it out. "She's saying 'chickety China'", which is where he'd been telling her where we were going all day. She didn't know that she was already there!! Poor kid. Yesterday I drove by and sure enough she expplaimed "Look Momma!! Tikky Tinah!!"

Gabe and Emma were playing on the couch yesterday. Emma was standing on the couch, and Gabe was behind it. She was speaking in a loud gruff voice- "I'm da pirate captain!" Gabe reached up and placed some sea shells along the couch back.
"Here you go, pirate, have some treasure!" he said.
Emmas replied (gruffly, of course) "Thank you, mermaid!"

Teehee, Gabe was not impressed!!

This morning I was in the bathroom and of course I had three kids in the doorway waiting for me to be done. I was bugging Ave about sleeping in my bed, and saying I was proud of Emma for sleeping in her own bed all night long!! Avery's eyes got wide and she said, "Yeah Mom, remember last night when I couldn't get to sleep?" I nodded, and she pointed to Emma "Talk-ey Talk-ey Talk-ey!!" Emma widened her own brown eyes and said in awe "Yeah!! I was a turkey!!"
