Some almost perfect days

Well, the last couple days have been pretty great. Still got a scratchy throat, but much much better than it was, thanks to .

Yesterday we took the kids to the beach before it got too hot out, and enjoyed some sun and sand. Even at that, with 30 sunblock on, and only two hours in the sun, this was me....


Hahahaha!!!! Actually, I did burn, but not too badly.

After that, it was home to the cool of the basement for a while. Ry and I had a game of scrabble (I couldn't get a vowel to save my life!!) and then dinner. Took the kids out to the lake again with the boat in the evening when it cooled down a bit. It was so nice to get out there again, although we didn't even get a nibble. ah well... I did say 'almost' perfect, right?

Today we went to church, which was super empty, but boy did I ever enjoy it. It was so good to be challenged. Even though it's hard, I like coming home with something to think about and work on. We had Bridget and the kids over for lunch, which was awesome since we haven't seen her in a while. Then some fun before supper.




I tarped the backyard so the kids could have some shade in the pool. I quite literally tarped over the whole backyard!! It worked, though!!

We went to the park tonite, and now- bedtime!

Woohoo!!
