Well, last night was a looooooong night. Baby #4 does not like to sleep at night (which could prove interesting in a couple months), and for whatever reason, I was AWAKE!!! It seemed like I'd been in and out of conciousness forever when Gabe came in to my room, saying he had a bad dream. I thought it must be morningish, but it was only 1:30am!! Ahhhhhh!!!
Anyway, finally got to sleep, and then at 6 ish, Emma woke me up literally yelling that "Gabe took all my Jelly Beans!!!" over and over again!! I got up and staggered into the girls room where Avery was already trying to talk Emma through the crisis.
"It's okay Em, it's just a dream," she was saying.
I tried to help "Emma, you are still sleeping and so is Gabe. In the morning we'll go get some Jelly Beans, okay?"
She wailed "But Gabe said no!!!!"
She wailed "But Gabe said no!!!!"
Finally she conked back out, and Ave and I were left sleepless together for the morning. Ah well....
Today is looking like it will be a long day. Ry got the news from work today that there will be a one week layoff, which is better than two weeks, but also that they are going to be going to four day work weeks. No extra hours on each day, they are going to save money and hopefully not have to shut down the mill. We'll see. It really makes me glad that we live in this little townhouse yet again. Money will be tight, but God has been good and always provides. We are soooo blessed!!
I was really glad to send Ave and Gabe to school today. Mostly Gabe, as he decided to be very 'I'm first, I'll push you out of my way" kind of attitude. Grrrr. I made him promise that he'd put a smile on for school, and when he got home, I'd do something special with him. Now I have to sit through an hour of national geographic in the desert!!! Haha, actually, those videos are not usually too bad.
Emma is tired and seems cranky too. Hope they just need the weekend and aren't getting a cold or something!! Ave was pretty happy. She got some new hand me downs and is all spruced up. What a sweetie pie!!
Anyway, hope all is good for you. Hugs, and happy thoughts to all, Char
