Well, last night was one of those that we'd all choose to skip, provided we could have a choice. Seth was his usual angel self, only one wakeup, but both Gabe and Ave woke up soaked. Emma was sleeping UNDER the mattress protector, so today I get to figure out a way to soap it and shower it off, and dry it before bedtime. Luckily they sleep on kind of foamy mattresses, so I have that option.
When Emma got up she decided to call for me from her bed, I guess it's too far to come across the hallway..., and so off I went. I told her to take off her wet clothes, and get some new ones to sleep in. A moment later she was chattering (very loudly in the silence of the night) that she couldn't find any 'jammies'. She kept talking... and talking.... and talking....
Finally I semi-snapped and Shushed her, reminding her that it was still 'sleeping time'.
I stumbled to her room and grabbed some pajamas for her, and then knelt down to help her get them on. Then, in the darkness as I pulled her shirt over her head she whispered
"Thank you, Mommy".
Well, that just made it all worth it.
Hope your night was great, too, God Bless, Char

what a turkey! I think our children must have collaborated to keep us up last night, because strangely, mine did something very similar, except they stayed up to *play* until I really did snap at them! When I went to wake them up, they were both naked AHAHAHAHA! two little bare bums stuck in the air and two little faces smushed into the pillows. THAT is so priceless to me.
Love you, so goooooood to hear your voice yesterday, and I just want to sit down and visit with avery ! she's such a little articulate lady. Tell her I said that and give her a big hug, I'm so proud of her!
Aren't those "thank you's" and moments like that...the best?? They could tear down feuding contries I'm sure!!! lol
Kids...man...I love them!!!
