Morning, all!!

I have some gritty eyes this day, I say. Gee whiz, I sound like Dr. Seuss!! Lol.

Seth has decided to be really happy each time he wakes up in the night. If any of you have been over and heard the squealing during the day (you can't miss it, it's a conversation blocker), well, that's what he is doing at 2 a.m.!! Oh man! Last night, luckily Gabe slept through him. Not so lucky the night before. But, I will survive!!
At least he's cute, right??

Today the kids find out what their teachers will be for the remainder of the year, so I will take them to school again. Then Emmie is off to playschool.

Ryan called the day before yesterday from work- and was so bummed. He'd been put on the weekend compressed shift. Which means that Friday, Sat, and Sun, he would work from 6pm to 6am. YUCK!!!! This was not good for us. I was really trying to be optimistic- you know "Well, at least we still have a job..." but, this was just awful!
Ryan couldn't do youth group, which he's been excited to be a part of this year, and all weekend when the kids are home, I'd be telling them to be quiet, because he'd be sleeping the whole time!! Also, during the week, when I usually have my 'free time' with him at work and the kids in school, that would be gone too. Grrr. AND he is dying since he just started working the new 10 hour shifts, let alone starting with 12s!! yikes!

Anyway, yesterday he came home from work absolutely glowing!! He said he got switched to days for the next two weeks. After that we still don't know. He will be doing clean up on the part of the mill that closed, I think. Anyway, it's a couple weeks respite!! Keep praying!! I hate it when life is constantly unsteady, and unpredictable, but I know it keeps us relying on Him!!

In other news, I am taking on the project of painting my room!! It will be slow, but I am really excited!! I'll post pics when I really get on it. I need these kids in school!! Haha!!

God bless, all, Char

Oh the dilemmas of shift work! It just never ends. I think it's cute that Seth is happy and chatty at 2:00 AM. Of course I don't have to deal with it LOL The birthday picture is so cute. By the way - congrats on the new camera. Val told me the story. That's great.

Maybe Claire and Seth should get on the phone and chat with each other in the middle of the night since they both seem to be thinking that it is a good idea to be up? We are experiencing the same thing right now, usually from about 3:30 - 5:00 am she is awake and wanting to read books or play. Hard to be mad at her when you go into her room and she is smiling and giggly! If you can get through it, so can I.

Love, your sister with huge bags under her eyes!

PS. What is the camera story? You should blog about it.

As much as happy and chatty at 2:00 sucks, and it really really does, it is slightly better than screaming and sobbing that cannot be controlled.
Here's hoping Ryan's shifts get squared away soon! Glad he has at least 2 weeks of days.
