Man it's hard to get back into blogging. I don't mean the writing part, I could write all day. It's just that there was a time (2 years ago) when I thought in blog posts. Something would happen, and I'd spend a few minutes mentally forming a blog post about said incident.
Then came Facebook, and the dreaded Status updates. For a while, this was nothing but fun, trying to fit a blog post into a one sentence status, that left people wanting to comment on it. A challenge, to be sure. The problem is, the one liners don't help me figure things out like blog posts do. My way of 'talking it out', or 'thinking it through', I suppose. By the time I'm done a post, I feel a little better about things.
After two years of writing a sentence about what I'm doing, where I'm going, or how I'm feeling, it's harder than I thought, to post a paragraph about it, I can't even think in paragraphs anymore!
I refuse to take myself off of Facebook. I love that I can see how so many of my friends are doing in one quick glance. I can send a 'thinking of you', make a joke, offer up a prayer, and hopefully help them feel loved in the space of minutes. I see pictures of my friend's children, and love to see how parenthood changes them!
But I must say, I am striving to again think in blog posts. I love the record that a blog keeps for you. How you can look back and see your life in black and white. It's the journal that everyone wishes they had always kept.
Blessings, Blogger friends. May the extended letter count in the status update never extinguish the blog!!
P.S. The Blue and Orange of this post is making me miss my honey like crazy. :(

It's so true! It's hard to think in paragraphs anymore! You are a great writer though! A blog is definitely a better canvass laid out in front of you to work on than Facebook is! I'm so happy to see you back here blogging again!
Love ya!
