I will not be finishing this book. If you are like me, you don't watch the news, you avoid newspapers, and you cry at movies where horrible things happen, you won't like this book.
I understand that there is pain in life and that brutality occurs, but the profanity and utterly vulgar descriptions were sickening to me. How ever the story may wrap itself up, it could not be worth the stress that the reading is causing me in the meantime.
That said, I thought the characters were well written. I loved Gemma right off, wished I could talk to her and help her, and I wanted to puke when I read from Hazen's point of view.
