Ice fishing

For those of you who read Manny's blog, you may know that Ed and I took our big boys out ice fishing yesterday. It was a lot of fun even though we spent half the time trying to get through the ice. Didn't catch a fish, and gabe had a run in with the ice ogger, but they still had a blast.

Tried the Ice ogger first (and by the way, I just realized that I honestly don't know how to spell 'ogger'). Anyway, we got about 6 or so inches down, and that baby wasn't moving anymore. Sooo




We moved on to the old axe technique.

We were pretty worn out and almost ready to give up, but you could hear the echo when I stomped my foot in there.





Sure enough, Ed made it through on the next chop!! Woo hoo!!

Had a fire, and some hot chocolate, froze some line, sacrifice some bait and a hook,

And had a great time, Thanks, Eddie.



Here's Ed cleaning off the ice that froze up our little hole really quickly. The boys thought it was great!!
