Welcome Lizzie and Rocky!

Well all, the road to pet-dom has come and boy am I in trouble!! We ended up spending way too much to get Gabe a couple of anoles for his fifth birthday. They are really cute, and he is super excited to have 'real pets' at his pet store. The kids spent a lot of time just watching them (so did Ry and I). Poor Ave, I don't think she really likes the fact that they ate live crickets. Aw, well. She seemed brave enough!! So, to the left is a pic of most of us, visiting with our new family members.
Now Ave wants to know why Gabe can get lizards and why she can't get a hamster?? Oh what to say, what to say. I told her I'd think about it, until her birthday in September. Then Emma piped up and wanted to know what pet she could get for her birthday, which is but a month away. AHHHH!!! I think I need prayer.

The big one on the right is Lizzie, she has beautiful golden eyes, is a bit 'curvier' than rocky, and is always brown. She likes to be upside down, and likes to lick her golden eyes.

And here is Rocky. He is a little more lithe, and is only brown when he wants to be. He also enjoys being a beautiful lime green. Even when he is brown, his eyelids are green. It's pretty cool. He likes eating!! A lot!! He offed two crickets, well, one whole cricket, and one leg of an escapee in the first half hour we had him!!

Well, happy Easter, and God bless, all. Hugs, Char

No suggestions on the Ave front, but tell Emma that she can't have a pet till she's at least 5, that's something special she can look forward to. ( it gives you 2 years, maybe she won't want one then.)
You are a brave brave girl to get lizards, I just told my men last night no rats, no mice no lizards not ever. However, once we get a fence I have a funny feeling i will be growing lettuce for my own bunnies.
Happy Easter
