Selena Gomez Part One

Okay, so today there are no insights coming at you. Let your brain rest. I just thought that I'd post a bit about the concert that we took the girls to.

When Avery won a motor at a fish derby, and sold it, she decided to write a list of dream things.

One of them was to go to a concert.

We'd just missed Taylor Swift, and 'the Bieb' isn't coming here anytime soon. (And by 'here' I mean within 12 hours), but when I started stalking Ticketmaster, I saw that Selena Gomez was coming soon!

For those of you unfamiliar with preteen pop stars, she's a Disney kid, and a decent enough role model, thus far.

I'll post a little video so you can have a taste... :)

This song pretty much sums up her message. "You are wonderful. You are worth it. You can do anything you put your mind to."

The fact that my girls are hearing that from her as well as me, makes my heart smile. :)

Anyway, we bought the tickets, planned a trip to Edmonton, and showed up at Rexall Place an hour and a half early. The girls waved at the buses, (totally flashed me back to checking out the New Kids' buses),

and we waited in line for an hour to buy very-overpriced-but-in-the-budget-t-shirts.

Next, after evicting a lady from our seats, with the help of an usher, we waited through the opening acts, which both sucked. I'd say 'no offense', but really, it's offensive. Over an hour of listening to some guy hold his mic to the air, while no one in the crowd sang to him, 'cause no one knew the words to his songs. And the whole time the girls kept asking "When is Selena coming on?" Lol!! I thought she might have been sick or something because it took so long!

The cool thing for me, ( I guess I am still an optimist), was watching the coliseum in the dark. The lights and especially the doorways where you could 'look in' on each snapshot of life. SOOO cool!!

That's all for now, tomorrow, I'll post some pictures of Selena. I know- you can't wait!! :)

Blessings, to all of you,
