So, I realized that summer is not going to come in 2011. Lol-
What was I gonna do to keep myself smiling through this winter...
PAINT!! We chose a lovely blue and a bright green and brightened up the playroom.
Instant makeover? Ummm, no!!
First we had to take everything out of the room, and clean it thoroughly. We vacuumed and washed the walls. We sorted the toys and threw away things that were broken or never used. We decided which things could be put up high and what needed to be easily accessible.
And when we were done, I was exhausted. SO tired! But so thankful for the order and beauty of out playroom.
And something amazing happened too. The kids wanted to be in there. To play! To use their imagination and get excited about being together.
I think it's the same in my life.
Every now and then I need to do a really good clean out!! Remove everything from my 'to do' list and get rid of some stuff. Chuck out the activities that are sucking the life out of me, broken things that are just making a mess of my life. And put some things aside for another time. I can't do everything right now, some things can wait. Lastly, I need to put certain things where I can access them easily. Where I will find them daily and be encouraged to spend time on them.
I think when I do this to myself, I become more fun to be around. My time is more enjoyable, and more focused. I am happier.

I hear ya loud and clear, sista! I also find the need to "declutter" my life. Take out the things that are broken. I like how you put that.
Love the color too. I think it's almost the same as my bathroom. NICE.
