Playdough fun!!!

One of my new life-changing resolutions (yeah yeah, it's not New Years, I know) is to actually spend time with my kids. Doing things with them, not just being in the same house with them saying "uh huh, uh huh, that's nice."
So today we played playdough together which is one of my favorite things to play. Probably because to the kids, I am an artistic genius!!! We made a grocery store complete with tills, carts and produce. It was fun. After a half hour or so, I left the table, and a moment later, so did they. I think today we'll bake with their easy bake oven, which really is just a lesson in patience for me.
Mom and Dad came to watch Ave do her swim lesson, and then because it was a holiday, it was cancelled. Poor kid. At least Grandpa flew her around a bit to cheer her up. Then they came for supper and a coffee. It was nice to see them. Keep praying for mom, though, she's got a really bad back right now.
Then we had Ed and Manny over and we played poker. Ry got really mad because Ed kicked his butt-TWICE!! Ry thinks he is mr. bigshot poker man, cause he does REALLY well at online poker, but Ed is really hard to read, cuase he's a little crazy!! It was fun. Anyway, hugs to all, Char
