My camera was MIA, so I asked Avery if she would use hers to take some pictures for us. She snapped this one as I tried to hoist Gabe up to put the angel on top of the tree.

But my favorite, for some reason, is the one below. Even in color, I like it. My hand, and my son's hand. The tree was falling to the side, and he was trying to help put it together.
Maybe it's the moment with my little boy. Maybe it's that I know my hands will be pruny and arthritic sooner than later.
Either way, I love it. Thanks, Aves.

And just as an added bonus for my readers today, Gabe just sat beside me and asked me a question in all seriousness.
Question of the day, from Gabe: "Why do all the guys getting their pictures at jail have a straight face?" Then a pause. "Maybe because they're thinking 'What are my parents going to do to me??'" Bah ha ha ha!!

Be blessed, friends.
