So, today you are privy to one of my biggest pet peeves. If you work with cash, and customers- or you know someone who does- take note.
When you hand me my change, please do not put the bills flat on my hand and then sprinkle the change on top of it. I cannot control the coins as they slide off of the paper. I end up needing both hands to separate the money, which means I have no hand left to open my wallet where the money needs to go. I get that a more dexterous person could tip their hand in just the right way, but it just doesn't work for me. I stand there with a hand full of money, feeling useless and annoyed.
I would much prefer if you would first place the coins in my hand, and then pass me the bills, which I can grab with my thumb and forefinger. Yes, I said forefinger. I don't even know if that's the word for the pointer finger. Lol.
So. Coins first.
Then Bills.
Spread the word.
Thank you.

I agree, it's very annoying!
Because I count the money back, I always start with the change, then move on to the bills...just makes sense.
Yup yup and yup! Unless like Antje said you get someone who counts the money back to you first!
I didn't think of it before now, but yes, it is much easier when coins go first, especially in a drive through!
So happy to hear that I'm not the only one with little (BIG) pet peeves!
