Pumpkins

A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like to be a Christian?"
The coworker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin." -
God picks you from the patch,
brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.
Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."
Hey friends, things are good here. I sent poor Avery to school about 20 minutes early this morning. Looked at the wrong clock and thought she was late. "Aves, can you take yourself to school this morning?" I asked. "If there are no kids lined up, you're probably late, just go right in to your class."
"OK, Mom" and off she went. I watched till she was out of sight.
Moments later i glanced at my wrist watch. "Oh NO!"
Threw coats on the kids and took off across the school field.
There she was, with two big kids, trying to pull open the door of the school.
We called out to her, and as she ran to us, her eyes started to well with tears.
"Mom, I can't get in!"
I explained what had happened and told her how sorry I was but also how proud I was. She was ok, then. We played on the teeter totters till the bell rang.
Oh my poor heart, how will I ever make it as a mom?

Oh my friend, you are making it as a mom, silly oops' like these and all. You have yummy babies who are absolutely brilliant in their own ways. We blunder and dust off and try again. If this is the worst blunder you ever make, you are flying. Even if this isn't, you are still flying because in your heart of hearts you desire good results, which means that you'll strive hard for them. No kid could ever ask for anything more than a mom who treasures them and does what they need.
*hugs* You're amazing Charley Barley
