hugs for you

You know when you are having a bad day, and you don't really even know it until someone is nice to you? I hate it when that happens. Well, I am not having a bad day thus far, although it's still early, teehee. But I wanted to share a hug with all of you. The Christmas season can be really hard for any of us who have lost someone that we love throughout the year. So many of my friends and family have been through so much heartache this past year, but even beyond that, Christmas seems to remind us of all the good times, and thus bring a wealth of pain in longing for things that once were. To all of you, and to my own self, today I offer up a prayer and a hug.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am so thankful that you love us and that you are always with us. Even when we can't feel your presence, in our sadness, You are there. I pray that you would comfort all of us who have wounded, lonely hearts this Christmas season. Help us to remember our loved ones with smiles, and to find ways to celebrate the gift they have been to us, as we celebrate the ultimate gift of your Son, Jesus who gave His all for us. Thank you that you always understand our hearts, whether we do ourseoves, or not. In your wonderful, holy name, Amen
